On my TV screen I see are hungry child
On the darkened streets a cold and lonely man
And every day I hear his desperate cry
Saying look at me and see who I am
He is our brother he is our neighbor to
Asking for help on bended knee
Don't just walk by for he is a child of God
Sometimes it all comes down to you and me
Take what you need to learn to pass it on
theres' a world out there depending on you
If we don't give who else is going to
Take what you need and learn to pass it on
The look of shame upon father's face
That furrowed brow that never lies
Yet we all know that in our heart of hearts
there but for the grace of God go I.
And as we turn to face the rising sun
And feel the warmth of a brand new day
let every heart and voice you night in harmony
And together we can hope to show the way
Take what you need and learn to pass it on
theres' a world out there depending on you
If we don't give who else is going to
Take what you need and learn to pass it on
