I've got a melody in my head
Doesn't work without a drum set
But if I strum the song on an acoustic, baby it works and I might have to use it
Once I get a rhythm and a perfect feel, every other layer will begin to peel
But if I wait for the song to write itself, I'll soon forget the song and it turns to hell

Switch the guitar over to an electric
Turn up the volume and tune down a half step
Need a little feature that can hold it together
Need a bowkell to make the song better
Give it a twirl and it gives me a twister like central heat in the dead of the winter
