This is the story of the kid
Who's too old to be called a kid anymore
He has a heart full of innocence
Which is slowly replaced by ignorance
As the years go by
He gets home
Stores the groceries
And remembers the mistakes
He made that day
How many lives
Did he save that day
A million and two
Some would say
But he never really saved himself
In the right way
And so he goes on and on
Pretending that talking to the mirror
Is not as crazy as it looks
Telling his reflection
Wonderful lies
And horrible truths
Unaware that the changes he made
Didn't really change much
Convincing himself
That he's never
On the wrong side of history
Although it doesn't take a lot of work
To see how everything
Could be blamed
On him
