A lonely bat circles the molten ground, searching for a friend
Lost in the twilight's embrace, wondering when this flight will end
Amid the ash and cinder, he calls out through the night
Echoes fading in the mellow breeze, a solemn seeker's flight
He swoops down to the sandy shore, where penguins waddle slow
'Have you seen my friends?' he asks, 'Can you help me know?'
But the penguins shake their heads, in the moon's soft glow
'Sorry, mate, we haven't seen them, where they've gone, we do not know'
He glides above the rolling waves, to where the turtles roam
'Could my friends be hiding here? I just want them home'
But the turtles shrug their shells, 'We haven't seen a sign,
Keep searching through the night, they'll turn up in due time'
Then through the mist he sees a cave, shadows dance inside
'Could my friends be in there?' he wonders, wings open wide
He lands softly at the entrance, peers into the dark
With hope he steps in bravely, guided by a spark
In the quiet of the cavern, echoes softly blend
Maybe in this hidden place, he'll find his missing friends
As he ventures further, he hears a familiar sound
Whispers of familiar voices, in the cavern all around
Then a chorus of flutters greet him, the air alive with cheer
In the shadowed cave he finds them, all his friends appear
Together they emerge, into the moonlit night
Millions reunited, flying high into the night
