We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on
Keep on
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on
Keep On

God
Parted clouds a baby came down with major style
Momma pushed em' out
Father was there but then rushed to bounce
Didn't know his seed believed he could just change the world's out
Come to Give that art of sound spray a round to the neighbors house
Unlimited ammunition could hit them and expand further out
To the country that do not love me but I still I do pronounce
Myself and america; man and wife
Even if she makes it super hard to go sleep at night
Even if I know she screwing me when I lay the pipe
Only because I know unity can save her life
Thought racism wasn't real when I was 12 years young
A local cop pulled on me but he ain't have no gun
I was skipping school, But I had no where to run
Plus my bike had week tires breaks damn near done
Damn, My chest ached I could sweat up a lake
He approached and told me, "how you doing today
I saw you cross the street and saw you cant make your bike stop
Go get some breaks free on me, I know this bike shop
Around the corner, potentially under 5 block
And here's this paper tell them call this number that I jot"
That day my bike was working good cause of a white cop
He could of stopped me to mock me or just to bust my chops
But I got Taller, smarter, darker through the days of high school
Became cool, The moment I grew my high top
(Nice fade Samad)
12th grade grad 18 years young
Me and homies didn't drink or smoke to have our fun
We walked to the old school as we watched the sun
Go down in beautiful town I'm from
"Stop! don't you Move I got out my gun
And I ain't afraid to use it, faggot don't you run"
Me and my two friends felt that our life were done
Fully clothed but through our clothes you can see out lungs
Security came outside the school and screamed "It wasn't them!"
Could see the fear in the cops eye as he walked to my darkest friend
Asking him for ID and what town do he live in
Had him state his address 20 times while he spitting
Screaming mad, And it's sad because we ain't do nothing bad
Not even school security could em' up off our ass
Saw one of the cops in the back have a smurk and then laugh
He said "It wasn't them", they got in their cars and dipped hella fast
No apologies given, no "I'm sorry for that."
Not a sorry look on their face, Not even a "my bad"
Grew hatred for the cops in my town
Plus when my aunt got murdered they didn't even give a crap
A summer later I performed a show promoting peace
Exempting guns, contrary to some of my beliefs
Thinking we could speak, thinking not all of our minds are weak
After the show I was thirsty needed a refreshing drink
Now I'm used to being looked at like I was stealing, But this lady was staring at me I couldn't shake the feeling
She stopped me and my brother and said "listen up children
Those camera's up there are watching you and they paying attention
To every move that you make, So don't even think about it"
Had a pocket full dough so out of anger I shouted
"Hey, whats that's supposed to mean?
Is that supposed to be a threat?
Is this the kind treatment we deserve inside a CVS
Whatever fine, I'm leaving", then she said "be my guest"
In a tone that said she wants to see a noose around my neck
And I bet if we weren't in public she would want to see my death
And I bet there's nothing I could do to get her to respect
See the hate in her eyes, she despise my melanin
And because she's white as snow, she probably feels she's better than
And she probably think I'm broke cause I'm young with darker skin
But she the one that's broke, come on
Think let it settle in
She look bout 82 and work inside a connivence store
I'm chasing my dreams, Do what love and I can afford
I'm dressed like I got money, I try when I do perform
But her thinking made get why there's a BET awards
Racism didn't die it just got cancer
Older rich bitter people pray we end up bastards
Growing up with no dad to ever give us answer
And let the entertainment industry be the slave master
Don't give them what they wanted to see I mean come on
How long it's gonna be we keep singing the same songs
What it's gone take for us to see we got it all wrong
Dont remain calm just keep on til we all on

Keep on
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on
Keep on
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on
Keep on
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on
Keep on
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on and (aw yeah)
We on and on
