No Place Like Home
7 pm, locked in my bedroom,
Familiar sounds shaking the walls.
They're fighting again, my brother keeps crying,
And telling him it's not his fault.
They say, family's forever, bloods thicker than water,
And I wish that I could relate.
I tapped my heals together,
Maybe one too many times,
Kind of naive thinking my world would change,
Right before my eyes,
Cause magics not real,
And those scars never heal, and I'm tired of wishing they might,
It's making my heart break, but I'm hoping one day it won't,
I say there's no place like home.
All of my friends, have memories to cherish,
And mine are just things to erase.
You don't get to choose, you can't pick your parents,
I hate that it's left up to fate.
They say, family's forever, bloods thicker than water,
And I wish that I could relate.
I tapped my heals together,
Maybe one too many times,
Kind of naive thinking my world would change,
Right before my eyes,
Cause magics not real,
And those scars never heal, and I'm tired of wishing they might,
It's making my heart break, but I'm hoping one day it won't,
When I say there's no place like home.
Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah,Ah
Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah, Ah Ah Ah,Ah
I tapped my heals together,
Maybe one too many times,
Kind of naive, thinking my world would change,
Right before my eyes,
Cause magics not real,
And those scars never heal, and I'm tired of wishing they might,
It's making my heart break, but I'm hoping one day it won't,
I know that one day it won't,
When I say, there's no place like home.
