Late at night, under a silver moon
A shadow moves, out of tune
Whispering languages we never knew
Behind a mask, they're hiding in plain view
They blend with the laughter, move with the sound
Invisible footprints on familiar ground
A flicker of light in the corner of sight
Gone in a moment, swallowed by the night
They walk our streets, wear our skin
In your office, or your next of kin
They smile just like you and me
But there's something there we cannot see
Are they friends, or enemies, no one really knows
Watching us, learning us, blending with the flow
From the mountains to the cities, there's a secret code
Aliens among us, on a journey yet untold
Some say they live in deep underground
Beneath the earth where secrets are bound
In deserts where no one dares to tread
Communicating through thoughts instead of being read
In the boardrooms, in the store
They've been watching since before the war
Shifting shapes, so hard to find
They twist the edges of your mind
Are they here to guide us, or to watch us fall?
Every word we utter, every rise and sprawl
They control our systems, the signals we ignore
Aliens among us, knocking at the door
They've taken our image, like a well-crafted disguise
But you can see the truth if you look in their eyes
A flash of color, a strange little tic
Like they're speaking to someone, when they glance real quick
They're in the crowds, they're in our dreams
In the whispers from your TV screen
A glitch in the pattern, an echo that won't fade
Is it them or the fear that our minds have made?
Are they architects of fate or watchers from afar?
They change the narrative, rewrite who we are
Are they planting seeds of hope or setting us on fire?
Aliens among us, taking us higher
Some say they're waiting for the world to collapse
Others believe they're here to bridge the gaps
Hiding as neighbours or strangers we meet
Moving in silence, out of sight, out of beat
What if they're scared of us? What if they're lost?
Is our world a sanctuary, but at what cost?
Do they fear our violence, do they feel our pain
Do they long for a home that they'll never see again?
What if their mission was one of peace
But they've learned our chaos will never cease?
Do they cry in silence, under our skies
Wishing for a place where no one lies?
Are they angels in the dark, or shadows in the light?
With secrets that we crave, with intentions out of sight
Their voices echo softly, just beyond our reach
Aliens among us, lessons yet to teach
And maybe one day, when the stars align
They'll shed their skins, reveal the sign
Standing there, in the open air
Aliens among us, they were always there
And maybe we'll find, they were just like us
Searching for a place where they could trust
