I breathe like the swamp breathes
What lurks so still, so full of wretch
Depth can't conceal all of my Decay
This path ever-flooded, suffocating me
As the screen doors shudder, the candlelight flickers
Inside that bayou shotgun home
Every exit meets my plea's will-o-the-wisp
Toxic water rises to my ears
Wringing out this brackish solace
Replenishing the vast ineffectiveness of Shallow Souls
Depth can't hide all my Decay
We merely drain into one another
