Quotes:
I was always a drama queen. I remember playing in the kitchen, trying to get my mom to think I was dead and call the police. When she didn't, I would cry. I was always theatrical. I don't think any of my relatives are surprised. When we younger, Ben would come over and I'd come down the steps wearing some huge petticoat that I stole from school."- Amy
"I think that our lyrics are defintely dark, but I know for a fact that we pull our inspiration from a million different influences. We listened to everything growing up. Our music isn't just 'opera metal' or 'gothic pop' it's just Evanescence"- Amy
"I didn't want the attention of some counsellor coming up to me and being like, 'Are you okay? You don't have any friends! Let me buddy you up with Chris and you guys can hang out!'" - Amy about camp
"I like to use two basic elements for my clothing: rock... you know, metal and chains and stuff, mixed with fairies and drama and Victorian clothing, fantasy." - Amy about her wardrobe
"...Sometimes i was definately very depressed, sometimes i was very anti-social, other times, other days i was pretty cool. i didnt have a clique of friends. in general i never liked hanging out with a big group of people, i feel, very, i dont know, kind of uncomfortable. im just an intimate person, im very comfortable hanging out with one person."-when asked what type of teenager Amy was growing up.
" I think its a really sick thing that we ever had to talk about our religion at all. i never wanted it to be a part of my career, i believe in the seperation of church and state. This is my work, this is my job and id rather not talk about it."-Amy on religion.
"When people put their pants on they just put their pants on, When I put my pants on I make gold records" -Ben
"He's full of crap. He signs *everything.* - Amy about Ben giving autos
"It's weird when you open up Billboard...because you see your name next to 50 Cent and Madonna. I mean, 50 Cent who I grew up on for the last month." - Ben
