The highest peak, stands before me
As I walk through the leaves
Shadows grow with every step and I don't know how I'll fair
Got a long way to go, but I don't care
I found myself, along the way
Hiking up Guadalupe
Sun's going down and I'm not quite there.
Cold winds cut me through, but I don't care
As I stumble around the bend
Close to finishing my ascent
And the light is nearly gone
Summiting the final peak, hypnotized by the sun
Flying back down, with motivation renewed
And the moon is shining through
Don't know the pain that I'm living in here
Buzz wearing thin, but I'm almost back
Almost back again
