T. Hayes - Act 2: Vendetta Lyrics

The young mockingbird always admired the eagles to the point of envy
Solely the way they dominate the sky, and glide along the clouds like the gods do
And so effortlessly in fact
Mockingbirds were never really meant to fly as high as other birds can
But he wasn't like the other mockingbirds he was a king a legend in the making he professed
So he flaps and flaps and flaps and pulls and flaps and pulls with all of his might
Trying to reach a gang of eagles he sees prowling the skies above him
So he flaps and flaps and pulls but he can never make it he is too weak
The eagles that tower his altitude can't help but find such a pathetic attempt at majesty so amusing
But this made the young bird angry
He'll prove them wrong he'll prove them all wrong he said he'll show them
This young mockingbird will not be taken for granted
