Terra Key - Gatlinburg Bluegrass (Hey Nineteen!) Lyrics

Terra Key - Gatlinburg Bluegrass (Hey Nineteen!) Lyrics

Great Smokey Mountains, a family quest
Each one of our clan wanting the best
Sue and Eric, smelly rental car mess
But those porch sunsets made a stunning success

The cable car, we climbed aboard, views so grand they never bored
Steven really loved the tour, and he's screamin', "Encore!"
Pizza at Mellow Mushroom's door
Chris bear videos, we want more
Went to town for spirits high
But Zack missed out, moonshine dry

Gatlinburg, that mountain magic
Family fun, chaotic but classic
Gatlinburg tales, laughter and cheer
Memories with loved ones near
Bears each day, Cubs in tow
Family moments, watch them grow

Treasure Quest was odd, with mannequins swell
Was that Diana Ross? Talia couldn't tell
Earthquake cost $120, with $119 wasted
But the bear in the dumpster, that cardboard was tasted

Pete and Sam drove down and joined in the fun
Oh My God still more bears, where do they come from?
Appalachian trails we hiked with no fall
Despite the rain showers, we all had a ball

Gatlinburg, where memories blend
Family bonds that never end
Laughs and hikes, and bears galore
Cole's phone still lost, it's gone for sure

Despite cyanide millipedes (and weather gloom,)
Crazy neighbors yelling in jest, (we presume,)
Couldn't fix the busted TV (in the theatre room,)
But still plenty of Moonshine (for us to consume.)

Jeanne and Teri had to leave and go on their way
But Sarah and Joe arrived to join us and play
Lots to do where fun adventures abound
Old-time pictures? There's plenty to be found
Hillbilly Golf, (ride the funicular,)
Pool, air hockey, (and roads perpendicular.)

Gatlinburg, where we all belong
Family ties so deep and strong
Bears each day, a wondrous sight
Memories made, pure delight

Watched Blues Brothers, trivia played
Sunsets glowing, colors displayed
Pancake lunch then mountain coaster power
Non Chicago pizza took over an hour

Sue and Zach's mountain hike was a smash
Waterfall, tubing, without any cash
Now it's Cassidy's 19th, Country Music's not her thing
Technically this is bluegrass, hope it makes her sing

Ryan's new Tesla needed some juice
Hunting for one last bear on the loose
As we said midwest goodbyes we didn't know
We'd all meet at Buc-ees to say one more hello
A mountain family trip we will never forget
Gatlinburg 2024, the best reunion yet!

...and Cole's never going to get his phone!
