Keeper of the waterways
Atop the food chain
Forager on the fly
Unmatched depth-perception because of forward-facing eyes
Living largely a life of solitude
Fearlessly traversing the vast expanse of blue

Coat your lungs with DDT
The rivers from which you feed, once vibrant and pristine
Are now the toilet bowl of industry
