Triana Akila - Scarred Lyrics
Official

Back when I was in 6th grade
I fell and broke my foot in three places
6 to 8 weeks with a cast on
After that my ankle was not strong
Had to learn to walk again, oh-oh-oh
Took some time but now I'm running
But every now and then, when it gets cold
The familiar ache returns
Every now and then, when the rain starts falling I can feel the ache again
No matter how long it's been, oh-oh-oh
See, I thought it healed but I'm permanently scarred
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
Back when I was in 10th grade, I had my heart broken to pieces
Puppy love, thought he was the one
Shattered, it was no secret
Had to learn to love again, oh-oh-oh
Open my heart up, let someone else in
Still after all these years, when it gets cold
The familiar ache returns
After all these years
When the rain starts falling I can see his face again
No matter how long it's been, oh-oh-oh
See, I thought it healed but I'm permanently scarred
Oh-oh-oh
Now I remember what not to do again
It's a reminder of the places I have been
Now I am better, I'm stronger
I know it all happened for a reason
So I'm grateful for my scar
Oh-oh-oh
I'm permanently scarred
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
Oh-oh-oh
Scarred
