Tritagonist - The Philosopher's Love Letter Lyrics

Will you remove this cup
I want to be like your Son yet how can I
A finite man - how when loss the only known
And defeat eclipses victory
How if love's sacrifice becomes
Meaningless and with no reward
There's a correlation between
Possibility versus inevitability
As probability seemingly negates
Chances of love flourishing
As mankind rumors of wars
And searches for new gods to wed
Jesus, your Bride is inevitable - those who dwell in you - yet
On this earth brides fail to choose grooms who've died to self
Already sacrificed yet waiting
At altars to resurrect as one flesh
Should I approach an altar with expectancy
For what's to come, or is desire but a vain
Imagination deserving a separation between
Position space and imaginary time
For an infinite God it's inevitable to find your Bride
Perhaps fait accompli if time becomes a one-dimensional
Pinpoint when compared to Heaven's eternal metaphysics
But I'm stuck in a transitory world. Will your Bride heed
Your call, with "until death do us part, for better
Or worse," when your provision abolishes death and
Creates an everlasting, utopic city
Here I am, as your Spirit calls to become
A mouthpiece, to speak life to a Bride racing
Towards demise, with faith irrespective of cost or outcome
I wish you'd remove this cup
But this must be the cost, to exist in metaxy
Between war and peace, love and apathy
Yet here I am, ready to speak
