Kurt Cobain
Verse 1:
In Aberdeen, a young man dreamed
A troubled soul with a mind that screamed
Kurt Cobain, a voice unchained
His music raw, his lyrics pained
Chorus:
Oh, Kurt Cobain, your spirit remains
Echoes of grunge, eternally sustained
Verse 2:
Nirvana rose, a band of fame
A generation found solace in his flame
But the weight of fame, the pain inside
Led him down a dark and tragic ride
Chorus:
Oh, Kurt Cobain, your spirit remains
Echoes of grunge, eternally sustained
Bridge:
His music lives on, his legacy strong
A pioneer of a sound so wrong
A troubled artist, a tortured soul
In his music, we find a rock 'n' roll goal
Chorus:
Oh, Kurt Cobain, your spirit remains
Echoes of grunge, eternally sustained
On April 5, 1994, Kurt Cobain shot himself with a shotgun. He left a suicide note with the words:
"I am too unbalanced and moody a person and I simply do not feel any passion in me anymore. Therefore, remember: 'It is better to burn out than to fade away.'"
