Hobo Johnson - The Fall of Hobo Johnson Album Lyrics

Hobo Johnson - The Fall of Hobo Johnson Lyrics

Typical Story

It's a, it's a, it's a, it's a
Typical story where the bassist kills the singer
And the guitarist and the drummer find they're in love with each other
It's the story of the kid who clearly won't know what to say
When the love of his life starts to calmly walk away
And it's the story of the dad who decides to chase his dream
He quits his job, he falls apart and he loses everything
And it's the story of the kid who who just wants to make a record
Loves and crafts it but nobody ever, ever cares about it (well)

Hey hey, what's your name? Talk is for the guys you hate
We should sit in silence while we think of what to say, hey
Hey, hey, I don't think this is working out
Will you forget I even asked you to come over to my house?
Hey, hey, I don't think I know much
But I know I couldn't take a good punch
So if you feel like I've been talking enough
Just tell me to shut up and I will gladly shut the f*ck up

I'm afraid of everything staying the same or worsening
So what's the point of finding calm, when calm to me is unsettling?
Settle down, little kid, your bones are shaking in your skin
Go and try and take a breath, though nothing more, nothing less (it's a, it's a, it's a)

Typical story of the king who had it all
Except for citizens who didn't want his head up on a wall
It's the typical story of the wife who couldn't quit
Being in love with such a giant piece of shit
It's the story of the queen who could never ever think
Of any redeeming qualities a man could ever bring
It's the story of the dog who wanted to run away
'Til he learned that his life is way safer inside a cage

I don't really need much
Just a place to be alone and you won't really see much
I think that I'm invisible, my mirror shows another guy
A guy doesn't do shit, he just sits in his miserable
Everybody's gotta live a life
That they didn't ask for
Why would he put me here just to die?
Just to, just to, die

Hey hey, what's your name? Talk is for the guys you hate
We should sit in silence while we think of what to say, hey
Hey, hey, I don't think this is working out
Will you forget I even asked you to come over to my house?
Hey, hey, I don't think I know much
But I know I couldn't take a good punch
So if you feel like I've been talking enough
Just tell me to shut up and I will gladly shut the f*ck up

Everybody's gotta live a life
That they didn't ask for
Why would he put me here just to die?
Just to, just to, die

Hey hey, what's your name? Talk is for the guys you hate
We should sit in silence while we think of what to say, hey
Hey, hey, I don't think this is working out
Will you forget I even asked you to come over to my house?
Hey, hey, I don't think I know much
But I know I couldn't take a good punch
So if you feel like I've been talking enough
Just tell me to shut up and I will gladly shut the f*ck up

Mover Awayer

One, two, three, four, five, six, do it

(Yeah)
Fear the m- (yeah)
(We've got a hot one for you)
Fear the m-
Fear the man who lives without love
And the lover who lives without fear
Fear the man who always wants to fight, he's not a talker
Fear the talker who never wants to fight
He's got no guts
Fear the man who knows he's gonna die
So he cries every night and just denies his life's beauty
And fear the man who has heaven in his plans
So he gets so complacent that he doesn't call his family
Fear the man who doesn't understand
That there's a million fish in the sea, but
Fear the girl who he really thinks is a different species
She'll rip your heart out

She makes my Mondays feel like Fridays
(Give me a break)
She makes my Ruby Tuesdays taste like Benihanas
(Give me a break)
And all I've really wanted
(Give me a break)
For us to get along
For us to get along
She makes my Mondays feel like Fridays
(Give me a break)
She makes my Ruby Tuesdays taste like Benihanas
(Give me a break)
And all I've really wanted
(Give me a break)
For us to get along
For us to get along
(Give me a break)

My girl moved away, huh
Can't help but think it's something that I say that
Makes her flee my loving arms and smiling face
And moves to a place where nobody even lovingly says her name
You know, it's something that I'd do
Like not text back for a day or two, that says she deserves someone better, but
Every single guy she's ever loved to me sounds really f*cking dumb, and stupid
If I become a man
I'll grab your cheek with my unwavering hand and
I'll tell you that I'll never second guess all the lovely love we made
And you don't want kids but let's think about it someday, you know
But you moved away and I
I grabbed you tight and then
I helped you to your car in that shitty parking lot, you know
I really miss you, and I hope that you miss me too
I really hope that you miss me too

She makes my Mondays feel like Fridays
(Give me a break)
She makes my Ruby Tuesdays taste like Benihanas
(Give me a break)
And all I've really wanted
(Give me a break)
For us to get along
For us to get along
She makes my Mondays feel like Fridays
(Give me a break)
She makes my Ruby Tuesdays taste like Benihanas
(Give me a break)
And all I've really wanted
(Give me a break)
For us to get along
For us to get along
(One, two, three, four, five, six, do it)
(Give me a break)
(Give me a break)
(Give me a break)

In the more beautiful of films
The hopeless protagonist dies in the end
And whether his eyes stay shut
Or he just stops caring enough
It feels the same

You make my Mondays feel like Fridays
You make my Ruby Tuesdays taste like Benihanas
And all I've really wanted
Was for us to get along
(Give me a break)

Uglykid

Baby make me feel like the way that you do
You look so pretty, awfully pretty
Sitting in your throne, size two
But I'm an ugly kid (he's an ugly kid, such an ugly kid)
Ugly enough to not wanna exist
I'm an ugly kid (he's an ugly kid)
And you're that pitch-perfect angel
Singing that classic, smashing hit and now I'm glad I exist

Your eyes twinkle like all your tears from last night
But if I make you cry again I think that I might just die
I'm such a f*cking ugly kid (he's an ugly kid, such an ugly kid)
Ugly enough to just wanna just quit
I'm an ugly kid
And you're like a summer sunset in Stockholm
I'm like being stuck in f*cking Bakersfield and walking home

Baby make me feel like the way that you do
You look so pretty, awfully pretty
Sitting in your throne size two
But I'm an ugly kid (he's an ugly kid, such an ugly kid)
Ugly enough to not wanna exist
I'm an ugly kid (he's an ugly kid)
And you're that pitch-perfect angel
Singing that classic, smashing hit and now I'm glad I exist

Nothing helps make up minds like roses or a lot of time
But I will just be sitting here
And not close to you or somewhere near
'Cause if you get to close to a lovely bird, it flies away
A bird I should've been glad to see
Instead of sad it wants to leave
Should be happy
Even if it's all without me

Baby make me feel like the way that you do
You look so pretty, awfully pretty
Sitting in your throne size two, two, two, two, two
Ah (he's an ugly kid, such an ugly kid)
Listen to this f*cking trumpet, holy shit
You're so pretty (he's an ugly kid, such an ugly kid)
You're not ugly
Yeah, that was the story of the kid
Who f*cking was real chunky growing up (you're so pretty)
And then gets older and guess what
He's a little less chunky
Pretty, pretty, pretty
You're so pretty

You and the Cockroach

Okay, picture this
There's this cold floating rock, right?
And at the bottom of the rock there's this ocean
And at the bottom of the ocean there's these little teeny amoeba, right?
And after millions of years, these amoeba
They start turning into fish and swimming around
I don't know how it works, but it does
So these amoebas, right, the amoeba fish are swimming around until one day
One of these fish is like, "You know what?
I f*cking hate the ocean, it sucks, its cold, it's wet
I'm done, I am done"
So he grabs these f*cking little things that are called hands and feet
And he connects them to his body
And he crawls out of this ocean, right?
And when he gets onto the bank, guess what he sees?
He looks around and he sees a female fish, and she's beautiful
Oh my God, stunning
So they talk, they talk for a few days
And they start, you know after a few days they start mashing parts
'Cause that's what happens, right? (Mashing parts)
So they mash parts and all these babies get born
After millions of years these babies shed their scales, shed their fins
Until they start standing upright, and one day
They, f*cking, their brains get so big that they understand these really scary concepts
And one of the concepts is that they're going to (die)
And what's scarier than knowing you're going to die?
Nothing, to me
So one day, this guy's like, you know what?
I'm gonna create something that makes me not afraid of dying right?
So he comes up with it
And it's actually called this thing that you may know as
It's called (religion)
And this religion causes a bunch of (conflict)
Conflict, bang-bang-bang, that's literally what it sounds like
So with all of this (conflict)
They understand they need some order so they create this thing called (government)
To keep each other in line, but guess what?
It actually doesn't happen like that
Guess what it creates, it creates a bunch more (conflict)
Oh my God
And out of all this conflict arises a president
And this president is orange, he's got orange hair
It's parted to the side, it looks really dumb
He's chubby, and he's got little sausage fingers
They look like Little Smokey's
I personally love Little Smokey's
Either way, he starts arguing with this leader on the other side of the world
He's got a bowl cut, he's similarly pudgy
He's got sausage fingers too
I don't know what it is with guys with sausage fingers
But it messes their minds up, right?
So they start bickering like little children
And one day the guy with orange hair is just like
"You know what I'm gonna f*cking do it
I've got a small dick I ain't got nothing to lose"
So he gets his thing, and he presses the button and it just goes

Ba-ba-ba-bang-bang and blows it up
And everybody dies, everybody dies, everybody dies

What's the only thing that survives a nuclear war?
Everyone say it on five
One, two, three, four, five: (cockroaches, yeah)
So the cockroaches are really small, but
After millions of years they start getting bigger
Then one day they start losing their f*cking shale
Uh, shells
And losing their f*cking antennas
And then they f*cking brains get so big
They understand these really scary concepts
And the concepts that they are going to (die)
But guess what, they don't wanna die
So they create this new thing called (religion)
But it creates a newer thing called (conflict)
So they need to protect each other, so they create (government)
But then it creates even more (conflict)

Oh my God
And out of the conflict arises this f*cking president
He's a cockroach, he's a little small boy
And he gets really f*cking
Insecure about his place in the world
Ha, ha, ha, classic
So he finds some guy to project onto
And they start bickering, and he bickers and bickers
And the other guy's like, "F*ck you"
The other guy's like, "F*ck you, motherf*cker"
But he has to go to his top cockroach scientist
Because guess what, nukes don't f*cking work on cockroaches
It bounces off them like a soft ocean breeze
So the president f*cking, he's like, "Okay, I'm gonna do it"
So he devises a new missile
He talks to his top cockroach scientist, imagine that
A big human-like cockroach in a f*cking lab suit with glasses on, ha, ha
So he f*cking tells him, he's like
"We need a missile that kills cockroaches"
So the scientist is like
"Okay, I got it, it's gonna be a missile
And on the end of the missile, instead of a nuke
It's one giant, president, it's a giant, it's a giant"

Shoe
And it blows him up
It's a giant shoe, huh
Classic, classic, classic, classic, classic

I mean
I mean, we just tryna chill
We didn't come here to show off
Or like floss our shit or anything like that
We just came to chill and have fun
And I guess that's what life's all about
Ha ha, leggo

S cit]ubaru Crosstrek XV

Woo
I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
I would've bought a Lambo but I'm not quite there yet
Sometimes I get drunk, and I forget what day it is
I wish that I was skinnier, but I love sandwiches
One time, I tried to burn sage to clear the vibe
But the smoke alarm went off, and my ex-girl cried
She cried for a bunch of other reasons, I
(I'm never going back to Four Seasons)

I wish that I was friends with Drake
So I can dig through his trash and have a yard sale today
Damn, I wish my name wasn't Frank
F*ck, I wish it was Blake

I learned a lot from my dad
Like how to yell a lot and make a car go fast
I wish that I was in the league
I'm a number one pick with two bad knees, go

I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
We're both pretty reliable
But got in a couple accidents

I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
I would've bought a Lambo, but I'm not quite there yet
I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
I would've bought a Bentley, but I'm not quite there yet

What's the point of being cool?
Cut your hair and get a job like the rest of us do
Don't play guitar in the park and just sit
If I hear another G chord I'm breaking your shit

Nothing like a Subaru Crosstrek
Suspension soft as a cute little baby neck
My clique orders club salads
And look like they all sing ballads

I could've bought a Lambo happily
But the insurance is high and I kind of want a family
Why does dad have a Lambo?
He was insecure about himself son, let it go

Nothing like fighting another man
'Cause he cut me off in traffic, and my morning started bad
I'm glad that his kids got to see
That his dad's a giant prick and that he got what he needs

Nothin' like crying in a Subaru Crosstrek
Life is an abyss half-filled with sadness
My ex-girl's grandpa invented pinball
He had a lot of time on his hands, uh

I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
I would've bought a Lambo, but I'm not quite there yet
I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
I would've bought a Bentley, but I'm not quite there yet
I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
I would've bought a Lambo, but I'm not quite there yet
I just bought a Subaru Crosstrek
I would've bought a Bentley, but I'm not quite there yet

(I'm never going back to Four Seasons)
(I'm never going back to Four Seasons)

Haha, hey guys
Have you heard about the new Subaru Crosstrek with the new suspension package?
If you buy one you'll be riding smooth in no time
It also came with a trailer hitch, but
It's only 4-cylinder so you probably shouldn't tow anything
My dad said that messes up the transmission

Moonlight

If I think of me and you
It makes me take a nap at noon
But if I die before I wake
I won't mind, I'm yours to take
It's been that since the day you left
That lovely little lady said
I'll call you back in a year
And tell you that I miss you dear

Oh, you look so pretty in the moonlight (yeah)
Uh, I could tell from your Twitter page (no)
I love the fact that you say you're coming back, Ash (oh yeah)
And hate the fact that you said you would stay (oh no)
Well, I wish you would right the songs
I really loved your poems they just weren't very long
Goddamn, is it just that hard to think
Of other things about me that are also really sweet?

But if I think of me and you
It makes me take a nap at noon
But if I die before I wake
I won't mind, I'm yours to take
And if I go to hell
Then I will think of you while in the fire
And everything will be okay
Just the thought of you, in these burning flames

Close your eyes and take a breath
It's a lot easier
The drugs I left
At my house I haven't been in years
I really think there's something wrong with all my mirrors
All my mirrors, all my mirrors

I love you like the train loves to roll
And whenever it stops, all it wants is just to go
But sometimes when it's going, all it wants is a break
Stuck forever on this track, it's just very scary to face
You make my Mondays feel like Fridays, woo
You make this Ruby Tuesday's taste like Benihana's, oh shit
And a room in Sacramento almost feel like the Bahamas
And a shitty ass falafel almost taste like enchiladas
That my grandma used to make, and I haven't tasted in a while
And I'm sure they still taste real good, she
She makes the skin around my scarred lips smile
I think Romeo and Juliet can do this for a while

If I think of me and you
It makes me take a nap at noon
But if I die, but if I die
I won't mind, I'm yours to take
And if I go to hell
Then I will think of you, I'll think of you
And everything will be okay
Just the though of you, these burning flames

I'd gladly get into arguments for forever if
Every night I could just sleep a little better
I'd really love to wake up and just not feel drained
But there's something rattling inside my brain
It's really, really weird and I
I'm pretty out of it now
I'm pretty out of it
I, I'm pretty out of it
Now, I'm pretty out of it
Pretty out of it now
I'm really out of it
I'm pretty out of it

Happiness

I really hope that you find happiness
And the book you write's magnificent
And I won't help but stare at every word
It would burn holes in many mattresses
After I place it down, read in full
That lovely little book titled, "I Told You So"
Yeah, you're Thoreau-ly mad
At the world
Yeah, and it sucks, but this place will never change
It'll probably get way worse
At best, stay the same, so you'll be f*cking world renowned

While I'm getting drunk at my house
Thinking about the dumb words I said when I was a bit too high
Those two pills I took felt very nice
But made me break your lovely little heart
And I said, "Ashley, that's so f*cking dumb
To think that life just hands you some book
That you barely have to write
It's gonna take like f*cking four or five bad books nobody would ever like
For you to live that wonderful life"
And she stopped
And she cried
That night
And she's right, she's gonna write that book
That's gonna make me look
Like a f*cking fool

And I know that she'll find happiness
And her book will be magnificent
And I won't help but stare at every word
It would burn holes in all these mattresses
After I place it down, read in full
That lovely little book titled, "I Told You So"
Yeah, you're Thoreau-ly mad at me
But so what?
I'm never gonna change
I'll probably get way worse
At best, stay the same

So I will sit and I will drink myself to either to sleep or my untimely death
Either way I hope that you don't cry, you know
That's just a part of life
Derek's father and my father know
Cirrhosis is a tough way to go
So when we drink a lot after our show
Pretending that we're not even scared at all
Genetics are what make me go to bed
Because there's something that's inside my head
That will click and make me drink until I'm dead
And Derek's dad and my dad are done
So I will sit and I will think about this life
And if I even like it
But I know that I'm gonna find a little bit of

Happiness
I think it's in my house or somewhere else
But I am turning over every stone
And I will search the f*cking depths of this
Stupid place my kids will have to live
In order just to smile a little bit
But you know
I'm thoroughly in love with you
And yeah, I'm really scared that I may never change
But I'm so f*cking done being so afraid
I really hope that you find happiness

All in My Head

(All in my head, all in my head)
(All in my head, all in my head)

It's all in my head
But I'm sorry that you feel like you're dead, dude
Said the guy who was high on the roof
And he didn't come down 'til he came down
And you should really f*cking cross your heart and hope to die
This place sucks, I wonder why
Everything is like this
It's just government and it's politics
And they brainwash these little kids in rural towns
To make them think they should just all think the same
It's f*cking stuck in my brain
It's really weird, I think I'm going insane now
Said the kid who just didn't know
That when I sit on his bus, I just wanna go home
I really think that he should settle down and find a place
To find himself or find a way
To really appreciate this life that he made
And I just really hope that it doesn't come true
That weird dream about the woods and that bear that you knew
It's in your head

They sell water, soon enough they'll sell air
They sell dirt, and no one even cares
Someday, someone will buy the whole f*cking moon
And then charge to change the tides and you will pay
(All in my head) it's all in your head
(All in my head) it's all in my head
(All in my head) it's all in my head
(All in my head) it's all in my head
(All in my head)
(All in my head)
(All in my head)
(All in my head)
(All in my head)

It's all in your head
You read Walden once and now you're obsessed
With a life where you don't have to try
To be liked, who to be loved
Man, it's all so dumb, yeah, I know
And I really think you earned the right to go and leave
And never talk to human beings
Being that they're all insane, and f*cking up this world you made
You should just get up and go
Just quit your job, leave your phone
Or jump into the great unknown
Or stay at home, it's all in your head
It's all in my
It's all in your head
It's all in your head

(All in my head)
They sell water, soon enough they'll sell air (all in my head)
They sell dirt, and no one even cares (all in my head)
Someday, someone will buy the whole f*cking moon (all in my head)
And then charge to change the tides and you will pay, I'm sure (all in my head)
They sell water, soon enough they'll sell air (all in my head)
They sell dirt, and no one even cares (all in my head)
Someday, someone will buy the whole f*cking moon (all in my head)
And then charge to change the tides and you will pay, I'm sure (all in my head)

Ode to Justin Bieber

It's getting hot!
Oh, shit, oh

Yeah, it's really, really weird to want the whole world to love you
I think it's pretty bad for my life and relationships
Sometimes I walk into public and instantly think
That the public doesn't like me, shit
I don't really know what I want but I do know that I want a little more
Of your attention, your love
Just look me in the eyes as I try to make you-
Two DUIs, seven thousand for the state
If I don't blow up then I'm going back for minimum wage
So just smile, yo, please smile
Look at me in the eyes, hold it for a while
It's really, really weird to want the whole world to love you
Kill all the pop stars and replace them with wholesome adults
And I'm getting better at being better at being nice to my friends or whatever
It's really, really weird to have the whole world judge you
Justin Bieber never even got fair f*cking shake
If you buy your mom a house when you're thirteen
You gon' be f*cked up mentally, you know

I'm really, really sorry that nobody understands
And that we treat you like that
I'm really, really sorry that nobody understands
And we're all really mean and dumb, and dumb, to you, and
And we really shouldn't be following you around all the time
That's pretty f*cked up dude, and I just wanna say too that
None of these dudes even understand, neither me too
None of these dudes even understand, neither me too
None of these dudes even understand, neither me too
None of these dudes even understand, neither me too
And I just wanna say too that none of these dudes even understand, understand, understand

You are so f*cking wrong, Frank
Not about wanting people to love you, and then they do
But then they judge you so your whole life falls apart
But you are wrong about Justin Bieber, let me explain
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait
It's really, really weird to live your whole life on TV
When I was eating Frosted Flakes, you were probably singing great
You made a song and my mom even loved it
I made a song and everybody said, "F*ck it"
It's really, really weird to throw an egg at your neighbor
I threw rocks and no one even cared
You were on the front page of TMZ
I would just walk home and go to sleep
It's really, really weird and I'm tired of trying
Really, really hard to get the whole world to like me
It's kinda f*cked up, I've been crying lately
I wanna wipe the tears with that Grammy, baby
It's really, really weird but I really respect you
For not strangling all the press that press you
I would go insane and just stay in my bedroom
We're gonna show up to your house and protect you

I'm really, really sorry that nobody understands
And that we treat you like that
I'm really, really sorry that nobody understands
And we're all really mean and dumb, and dumb, to you, and
And we really shouldn't be following you around all the time
That's pretty f*cked up dude, and I just wanna say too that
None of these dudes even understand, neither me too
None of these dudes even understand, neither me too
None of these dudes even understand, neither me too
None of these dudes even understand, neither me too
And I just wanna say too that none of these dudes even understand, understand, understand

My friends are counting on me and I hope that they're right
That I could really help them with the rest of their life
I'm not sure if they should see me for the guy that I am
Just that indecisive kid who really wants to be friends, and
My family's counting on me, and I'm glad that they are
'Cause, 'cause I can help them keep all their houses and cars
I came a long way from sleeping in my car by the park
And taking f*cking shits in the field in the dark
But when the lights turn off, will I still feel the same as I used to?
I think you said that you wish that none of this ever happened
And I don't blame you

You'll always leave a hole in my heart
And memories in my mind to discover
All of the dreams we had
Will never be over

February 15th

The butterflies in my stomach have died
Now there's lowly caterpillars that are waiting for the night to strike
And they've been dying to escape
The pit of my stomach's a really dark f*cking place
You know my new friends are starting to know
Why my old ones don't talk to me anymore
My ex knows why my last one's my last one
Hey, guess why? It's all my stupid f*cking actions

I'm
I'm gonna be alone forever
I'm gonna be alone forever
But I'm getting used to the thought
Except late at night, you know, maybe I'm not
I'm gonna be alone forever
I'll surely be alone forever
But I'm getting used to the thought
Except late at night, you know

And she went to Columbia when I was in jail
I just wanted another apple when all she wanted was Yale
And that is the problem where all of this lies
I'm emotionally unstable, I'm just a crazy f*cking guy
Who's

Who'll surely be alone forever
I'm gonna be alone forever
But I'm getting used to the thought
And in a couple years I'm gonna pay to make it stop
I'm gonna be alone forever
I'm gonna be alone forever
But I'm getting used to the thought
And in a couple years I will pay to make it stop

Sorry My Dear

Have you heard the story of the guy who decided not to die?
He figured living was just easier than falling really high
His son heard about it later, thought, "Maybe that is why I'm enamored with the thought
Of seeing angels in the sky that are singing"
And they're singing, saying, "Everything's right"
I haven't heard that on Earth, so
Maybe I will find a place to sleep
Just a comfortable place to lay my head

Please shoot me in the face, but
But first let me smoke your cigarette that's laced with f*cking arsenic and mace
Just kill me in my sleep
Smother me with pillows and kindness, in which I have never seen
Please slit my perfect throat with the knife that I gave you
When I told you "I love you" in my home
Just stab me in the back
And twist it with the anger of every single time I made you mad

Have you heard the story of the guy who decided not to die?
He figured living was just easier than falling really high
His son heard about it later, said, "Yeah, that's why I'm enamored
With the thought of seeing angels in the sky that are singing"
Boy, they're singing, saying, "Everything's right"
I haven't heard that on Earth, so
Maybe I will find a place to sleep
Or just a comfortable place to lay my head

Part of being alive is wishing that you weren't sometimes
And as your brain forces you to breathe
It lets you indulge in such reluctancy
But what's more amazing than that is that you can do it and it won't fight back
No, your brain will calmly cease to breathe
If you really wanna shoot it, or smash it into things
And if I don't feel better in the next ten years, then
Then sorry, my dear
If I don't feel better in the next ten years, then
Then sorry, my dear

I'm okay, I'm okay, I feel a little bit sick
But it feels like a cough, or a cold, or a flu
But the only medicine feels like a bullet in my chest

But have you heard the story of the guy who decided not to die?
He figured living was just easier than falling really high
His son heard about it later, said, "Yeah, that is why I'm enamored
With the thought of seeing angels in the sky"
And I know
That you bleed my own
And if you go
If you, oh

I Want a Dog

I really want a dog
And a wife who loves to talk about the day that she had
I want a house that's on a street, that's on a hill
In a community with other people just like me
I want a kid that plays guitar
And he'd be a prodigy at the age of three
But he'll just give me lessons when he's six
I want my dog to f*cking talk
And tell me that she's very, very proud of me
And that I worked very, very hard

No, I just want a dog
I just want a dog
I just want a dog, dog, dog
No, I just want a dog
I just want a dog
I just want a dog, a dog, dog

And I want my dog to be in films
And my son would also star in them
And I would just direct, and I'd produce
My wife would have a lot to do
Like talk to record label A&Rs
Because she would be a famous singer too, I forgot to mention that
My films would be great
You'd be amazed but also touched inside
Just like The Blind Side starring Sandra Bullock
I came here for the dream, and I will not leave without it

No, Frank, you just want a dog
You just want a dog
You just want a dog
You just want a dog
No, I thought you want a dog
All you want is a dog
All you want is a dog, dog, dog

And I want nothing but the best
Better than anyone has had yet
The wife, the kid and the dog
I want my kid to change the world
And my wife to cure disease
I want my dog to f*cking talk
And not only just to me
I want the life I've never had
And I want only just to laugh
And I want stimulation every second and a half
I want the world to f*cking see that I am someone to respect
Even when I'm lying cold, cross-armed in a chest

You know I really want a dog
And a wife who loves to talk about the day that she had
I want a house that's on a street, that's on a hill
In a community with other people just like me
I want the life I've never had
I want only just to laugh
And I want stimulation every second and a half
I want the world to f*cking see I am someone to respect
Even when I'm lying cold, cross-armed in a chest

No, I just want a dog, dog, dog
I just want a dog, dog, dog
I just want a dog, dog, dog
I just want a dog, a dog, dog
